a week agoI just wanna thank all the staff of New world. I checked in @ New world last month. I came back to base (overseas) and realized my necklace was missing. I checked everywhere and I didn’t find it. I then remembered last time I wore it was when i was in Manila. I just tried my luck and sent email to New world to see whether I left it in the hotel, they responded promptly and advised me that my gold necklace is there. (The cleaner found it and surrendered it.)They are all very honest, polite and helpful all the time! Thanks New world 🥰

a month agoHow the mighty have fallen.New World Hotel was one of the best hotels in Metro Manila but the times have changed and they sadly haven't. The service is exceptional and the location is fantastic. The king-sized bed is also wonderfully comfortable. That merits it the 2 stars.Issues that we've encountered are due to the rooms being woefully dated because of age and lack of maintenance. The toilet flush works but the lever doesn't pop back resulting in the water continuously going until I jiggle the toilet lever back. The aircon also wasn't working when we first arrived. These issues have been rectified quickly so kudos to their excellent service team.More issues have cropped up since then. I am writing this review whilst staying in one of the rooms and the table lamps have turned off again (probably due to the switch contacts have worn down). There's also a tiny cockroach-like insect walking across the desk next to my laptop so I'm not too sure about how often they clean the rooms. Maybe I'm just unlucky but these things shouldn't happen in a 5-star hotel. They have offered us a late checkout as compensation for the issues.

a week agoOne of the last classic old hotels of Makati left. Aging but still good. Rooms are adequately large, service is good and price is reasonable. At the heart of Makati location is of course excellent.

2 weeks agoI had a very good experience - room are spacious and clean - Services is excellent, I thank David and Criszih for the service all along my stay - I also recommend the dentist! Dr Torres take the time to explain every step, and is very gentle which I really appreciate, and it is convenient to have his service at the hotel!

2 months agoI’ll start with the pros- the room was beautiful and housekeeping was kind during our stay. The living room lounge benefits were great. Pool/Gym was nice. Thank you Carlo for your help at check in.The cons- We didn’t feel welcome. We’ve gotten ignored by the bellman/concierge during check out, rude doormen, guest services who never looked up. Our family members were treated better than us & they didn’t even stay there. Be kind to everyone.
