Though it's just an overnight stay yet I enjoyed it! The room where we stayed, 6015, is really conducive for relaxation. However the hot water in the shower is not working. The bed is awesome like when you laid back you really wanted to sleep the whole day! The breakfast venue is just enough for the crowd however the fruits that were served, like the papaya are tasteless even the watermelon. But I appreciate the smoked fish for saving my day plus the attendants are very welcoming and approachable! It's really a world class service! I do commend the staff for they are all doing their job very well! Kudos everyone for the great experience!

Slow check-in process, expect a line. The wallpaper's starting to peel off the wall. Water is dripping from the AC in our room. Room lighting isn't very bright. Hot water wasn't available when I showered. Towels look old. The breakfast buffet was excellent (think Chinese food) but the cockroaches on the floor are an instant turn off.If you don't have any other choice and you need a hotel near MOA, this'll do but only as a last resort.

I travel extensively for 45 years and this is my 3rd Philippine hotel this week. I stayed for two nights. The good: Excellent air conditioning. Super comfy bed with good quality linen and pillows. Nice 45" TV with zillions of channels. Reliable Wifi Decent lighting in the room. The bad: No soap. Asked for soap 3 times. No soap. The only soap is the grape flavored body gel in the shower dispenser. No hot water. Full-on hot is slightly warmer than the cold. Brutal showering experience.Electrical outlets are scarce. You'll have to crawl under furniture to plug-in.Although located very close to the entrance of Mall of Asia. Its actually a long walk because you have to circumnavigate a fenced in abandoned property between the hotel and mall.I arrived at 1PM and was told check-in begins at 2PM however they would try to get me checked-in earlier. I sat in the lobby until 2:30 while many other check-ins were handed keys.Scarce amenities. There is a hot water kettle with cups and coffee & tea packets however no spoon or utensils. The instructions on the safety box states to enter a 3 to 6 digit code. I couldn't get it to work. Waited nearly an hour for assistance and was told its my bad as I failed to use 6 digits which is the only acceptable code. This hotel could easily correct these deficiencies however IMHO its merely a 2-star property and poor value.

Large rooms with potential but this older hotel is showing it's age and needs major upkeep for a four star rated hotel. Our room had cockroaches in the washroom and the pool is not useable as it's very cold. Bed sheets and towels are grey with age. Close to mall of Asia was a plus. Quiet street location. Would not recommend

I’m here in the Philippines for work and I had got a hotel here at the golden phoenix hotel. It had good reviews and also when I did arrive it looked pretty new and clean. Even when I got to my room it still looked pretty decent and had a lot of food and alcoholic beverage options to choose from. Now upon further inspection I notice I don’t have any towels so I call the front desk to get me some. As I’m waiting I decide to put my razor on top of the shampoo bottle they have in the shower since there wasn’t a place to put it besides there. I look down at the shower floor and I see what seems to be a stink bug and I instantly was disgusted. Not at the big itself but the fact that if people were properly cleaning these rooms, the bugs would never have even been in here in the first place. So upon that I leave the bug alone and continue to look around and I find it’s unclean and surprise surprise….more bugs. I decide to check the mattress and sheets for bed bugs but I’m not an expert so I’m not exactly sure what I’m looking for but to my eyes surprisingly enough I didn’t see any. I’m still a little nervous to go to sleep in this bed though knowing the place is crawling with bugs and filth. And plus I’m not positive that there isn’t any bed bugs. Also they need to redo the wallpaper in the rooms since it’s practically falling off the walls now. I would not stay here again.
